KCnet and IKANO Announce Partnership

KCnet, Inc., a leading Kansas City based local Internet Service Provider (ISP), and IKANO Communications, an industry leader in wholesale Internet services, today announced a strategic partnership that enables KCnet to offer competitevly-priced, high-speed broadband packages to meet growing customer demand outside the Kansas City metro area.

Under the partnership, KCnet customers will benefit by gaining access to ADSL services in AT&T, Verizon, Qwest, and Covad territories where KCnet does not currently have a presence. KCnet's customers will be able to choose data speeds of up to 15.0 Mbps in areas where ADSL2+ have been rolled out. These services are designed to meet the increasing needs of consumers and small businesses for high-speed broadband to run advanced applications such as streaming video, online gaming, and voice services. KCnet will sell these services to customers in cities served by Covad’s nationwide, facilities-based network.

“We look forward to our partnership with IKANO because it gives us access to parts of the country we do not currently offer high-speed access,” said James Nelson of KCnet, Inc. “IKANO’s high-speed broadband services, combined with KCnet's Internet services and applications solutions, enable our customers outside our facilities based network's footprint access to a high quality broadband experience.”
